Who runs this website

Forge Recyclers Pty Ltd (ABN 68 702 555 191) runs this website. In this policy, Forge Recyclers means that company.

What this website collects

The website has no accounts, no shopping cart and no database of enquiries.

While you fill in the quote form, your browser keeps what you typed in session storage, so it carries over as you move between pages. It stays in that tab and is removed when you close the tab. Photos you add stay on your device until you press send.

The postcode checker and the material search run in your browser. What you type stays on your device. Nothing is sent to Forge Recyclers or to anyone else.

What happens when you send a quote request

When you press send, the quote form sends your details and any photos you added to Forge Recyclers by email. The email is delivered by Resend, an email delivery service based in the United States, so your request passes through its systems on the way. The website itself keeps no copy. Forge Recyclers uses what you send to reply to you with a quote and to do the job you asked about.

To keep out spam, the website also checks technical details of each request, such as how often the same connection sends the form and how quickly it was filled in. These checks are not kept with your request.

If you contact Forge Recyclers by phone or email instead, Forge uses the details you give to reply to you and to do the job you asked about.

Cookies, analytics and third-party content

The website doesn't set cookies. It doesn't load advertising or tracking scripts, social media widgets, or fonts and images from other companies. If that changes, Forge will update this policy first.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare's network. Like most websites, its servers may keep basic technical records. These include the address of the device that made a request, the page requested and the time. The records exist for security and reliability. They are not used to identify individual visitors or to build a profile of you.

Records a business may need to keep

Queensland law can require a business that buys second-hand goods to see the seller's ID and keep a record of the sale. If a job you ask about falls under those rules, the business may keep records about you and the goods. The Queensland Government page under sources describes the rules. The guide to selling scrap metal in Queensland explains them in plain words.

Your choices

You can ask Forge Recyclers what information it holds about you. You can ask it to correct or delete that information. You can ask it to stop contacting you. Use the details on the contact page.

Changes to this policy
