This website is run by Forge Recyclers Pty Ltd (ABN 68 702 555 191). In these terms, Forge Recyclers means that company.
The website gives general information about recycling scrap metal in Brisbane. It is not legal, financial or engineering advice. Rules change, so check the official sources linked on each page before you act on them.
You may read, print and share the pages for your own use. Please don't copy the content in bulk or present it as your own.
Quotes and prices
A quote request is a question, not a booking. Nothing is agreed until Forge Recyclers confirms your job by message or in writing.
Scrap metal prices move with the market. They depend on the type, grade, condition and amount of the metal. Any figure on this website is general background only. The price for your job is the one confirmed for that job.
What you tell us
You must have the right to sell or dispose of anything you ask to have collected. Give accurate details about the goods.
Some items are unsafe or regulated. Forge Recyclers does not take asbestos, fuel or sealed gas cylinders. Tell Forge Recyclers about sealed containers, or anything you are unsure of, before a pick-up. They may need special handling, or Forge may not accept them. The materials guides explain how to prepare common items.
Quote requests
The quote form sends your details and any photos you add to Forge Recyclers by email. Only send photos you took or have the right to share. The privacy policy explains what happens to your information.
Charts and guides
The charts, tables and guides on this website give general information. Each one shows its sources. They are a guide, not advice. Before you act on one, check the official source it names. Charts of world metal prices show benchmark prices for refined metal. They are not what a yard pays for scrap.
Links to other websites
Pages link to official government and industry sources. Forge Recyclers does not control those websites and is not responsible for what they say.
Responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Forge Recyclers is not responsible for loss caused by relying on the general information on this website. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.
