Commercial scrap metal collection for Brisbane businesses

Forge Recyclers buys ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal from businesses and collects it from your premises. Our commercial scrap metal collection covers factories, workshops, building sites and fleet depots across Brisbane and South East Queensland. It works for a one-off clean-out and for a site that makes scrap every week. Send photos of what you have, and we reply with a quote for the load.

Commercial scrap metal pick-up: who we collect from

Why businesses sell their scrap metal to Forge Recyclers

  • Your people stay on the job. We collect from your premises, so nobody loses an afternoon to a scrap run.
  • One buyer for every metal. Steel, stainless, aluminium, copper, brass, cable, batteries and converters go on one pick-up.
  • A quote before you book. We quote from your photos, so you can check the price before anything is booked.
  • All your sites, one buyer. We collect anywhere from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast.

One-off clean-outs and regular pick-ups

A one-off industrial scrap metal removal suits a factory clear-out, a move to new premises, a plant upgrade or the end of a big job. Send photos of everything that's going, and we quote it before we book the pick-up.

If your business makes scrap every week, ask about a regular pick-up. These details help us work out what suits you.

Commercial scrap metal recycling

Metal is often the heaviest thing in a business's waste. Pulling it out of general waste bins and skips cuts what goes to landfill, and it can cut the weight you pay a waste contractor to take away. Every load we collect goes to recycling, ferrous and non-ferrous alike, so your scrap counts as recycled rather than dumped. And instead of paying to get rid of it, your business is paid for the metal.

Getting more for your business scrap

Sorting at the source lifts the grade, and the grade drives the price. A few habits help:

  • Keep stainless and aluminium away from mild steel.
  • Give swarf and turnings their own drum, away from solid offcuts.
  • Keep cable apart from bare copper and brass.
  • Keep timber, plastic and rubbish out of the metal.

Three steps to sell your business's scrap metal

  1. Send photos and details

Call us, or use the quote form and add a few photos. Tell us what you have, roughly how much, and your suburb.

  2. Get your quote

We reply with a quote. If you are happy with it, we book the pick-up.

  3. We pick it up

We collect from your site and pay you for the metal.

Ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal we buy from businesses

Ferrous metals contain iron and non-ferrous metals don't. One pick-up can take both: tap a metal to see what we take.

Non-ferrous metals

No iron in them, so a magnet won't stick. They are worth more per kilo than steel.

Ferrous metals

Steel and iron, which a magnet sticks to, and stainless steel, an iron alloy graded on its own.

Mixed-metal items

Things made of more than one material, such as cable, motors and converters.

What Forge Recyclers can't take

For safety, we can't take these, even mixed in with metal. Not sure about an item? Ask us before the pick-up.

  • Asbestos
  • Explosives and ammunition
  • Fuel and other flammables
  • Sealed gas cylinders
  • Corrosive or poisonous chemicals
  • Medical or biohazard waste
  • Radioactive material
  • Household rubbish

Questions about commercial scrap metal collection

Can you collect scrap metal from our factory or depot?

Yes. We collect from factories, workshops, depots, building sites and trade yards from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast. Tell us where the metal sits and how a vehicle gets to it.

Can we set up a regular pick-up?

Ask us. Tell us which metals build up, roughly how much each week or month, and where you store them. We'll talk through how often a pick-up makes sense for your site.

Do you buy old machinery and equipment as scrap?

Yes. Old machines, racking, frames and motors are steel, iron, copper and other metals we buy. Send photos with rough sizes and where each piece sits, and we tell you what we can take.

How do you price a business load?

By the metal, its grade and the weight, at the market price on the day. Metal kept clean and apart by type earns more than a mixed pile. Each load gets its own quote.

Is the scrap metal from our business recycled?

Yes. The ferrous and non-ferrous metal we collect goes to recycling, not landfill. Steel goes back to steelmaking, and copper, brass and aluminium go back into new products. Your business is paid for the metal instead of paying to dump it.

What can't go in a business pick-up?

Asbestos, sealed gas cylinders, fuel and other flammables, corrosive or poisonous chemicals, explosives or ammunition, medical or biohazard waste, radioactive material and general rubbish. Keep those out of the scrap.
